Angry I HATE GAS, wish I could run on veggie oil.



over $50 filling up the M.. and I think I get around 235miles / tank. Crap, it could be 265.. I forgot..


Anyone found a way to squeeze some more MPGs?


Take the poll, I'm curious what other M3s are getting as far as mileage per tank.

If it looked as sweet as yours, I wouldn't mind...

Damn it, the Bimmerforum heads are saying they pop 300 easy...

I think I need a tune up.


Any quick ideas on how what might affect it? Spark Plugs, etc?

I went from OC to San Fran. with 1 tank, doing about 100 and all the way.

how many miles is that?

That was one road trip, what about normal driving conditions?

How small tanks do you have??
It's 65liter here = about 17.3 gallons.
Costs 100bucks to fill it up.

I normally get about 400miles out of it.
With a stock 286hp euro M3.

My 95 M3 gets allright gas mileage, but I don't drive like a normal person so I usually get low mileage because of that. I had to drive 440 miles and with a full tank of gas from the start (somewhere around 15 gallons, not sure though) I only had to add another 5-6 gallons to reach my destination. That was with 89 octane at 100mph average

Lets see if I can do this right. If it took 20-22 gallons to get 440 miles,
440/22=20mpg so
20x15(15 being the tank capacity)=300 miles to a tank of gas,
is that right??
