BMW TRANNY
hey guys i'm planing to get a used BMW a 330Ci or a E46 M3...my dad's friend is th supervisor of the BMW dealer in my town and he said that BMW's have bad transmissions is that ture or does it only apply to certain models.

Don't get an auto, for many reasons. And the only issues really are subframe failures. They have great manual transmition. Though some are better than others.

our tranny in a 2000 528i went out @ 70k miles

I'm not sure where these rumors come from..

My brothers 525i has 220k on it, tranny has never had anything but a couple flushes. His 86 535i also has 230k + still going strong..

Was there a turning point?
