| Thanks for the heads up, sorry to hear about your troubles. I was hit head on by a woman who obviously owns the entire road, it was her fault obviously. She had Geico, that was the biggest pain in the ass ever, they did their best to not give me any money. It took months of me calling, arguing, and so on just to get what they OWED me!!!! Cliff's Notes: Insurance companies suck teh penor.

| Yeah My mom was rearended last year while she was a stop light. Only messed up her bumper. Shes called me when it happened and I told her to call the police and file an accident report. My mom being the trustworthy one did not call the police. The guy gave her a false drive liscence number. My mom at least wrote down the plate number. After much trouble we discovered that the guy had no drivers liscence and no insurance. He had also did not transfer the title of the car when he bought it. So we ended up paying for repairs out of pocket. I told her to always call the police, especially in accidents. If you hit a dear, call the police and file a report. It is worth the extra half hour. It will save you a ton of problems. If my mom would have called the police the police officer would have arrested the man who rearended her and he would have paid to fix her car.

| My wife did that same crap last month, exchanged info. Fuck that, I want documentation. The girl that hit her didn't want to get the insurance company involved, so she says she will pay for it out of pocket. I had to take over this mess, I met with the girl, gave her a copy of the estimate, and she asks if she can make payments. I said yeah, how much a month? 200.00, Haven't seen a dime yet, she won't return calls now, if I don't hear from her by the time I get back from vacation I am going straight to the insurance company to file, fuck her. I mean, peace.

| Yeah, Nationwide seems to like to play some. I can't say I had a horrible experience, but I wrecked my 99 Maxima into a light pole in Feb. They offered me $7300 for it, and I went nuts. A 99 Maxima SE Limited with lthr, bose, mnrf...all options except it was a 5 speed. It took some calling and arguing over a few days before they settled for $9800 + 7% tax, so I kept $10,177 after deductible. They claim they don't use blue book, edmunds, prices on autotrader, or cars.com. They have their "own" research company. Funny thing, the research company would find cars with more miles, less equipment which obviously was less to dilute the average. Even when they found cars more expensive like $11-12K, they made up some reason for deductions. After 10 years with them, I am ready to switch to progressive for my M3. Imagine what kind of value to would try to pull on me if the unthinkable happened to the M. Progressive offered me the same rate, and I hear they are good. |

| That sucks, after what extra you have to pay to drive an M3 to get ripped like that. I use Shelter. Have to admit not really happy with them eather, thinking about going to state farm.

| nationwide is on my side, we've actually had really good luck with them. they've fixed my parents cars twice and i hit a deer. no problems whatsoever. i think it all depends on your agent though and how much crap you and your family insure with them. i actually passed my agent going about 110 on the bike and he asked me about it later, didn't tell me to slow down, didn't jack up my rate, didn't cancel my policy, nothing, just acknowledged that he was aware of me passing him at 110 on double yellow lines on a motorcycle he is insuring. cool guy

| Yeah I have had good experiences with my insurance agent. I am 19 years old and have had 6 cars in the past two years. I have also had 3 cars insured for the past year. I get great rates considering I have one speding ticket in my JEEP. WTF I get a speeding ticke in my jeep over my BMW. Figures just my luck. I also pay $1900 a year for my POS VOLKSWAGEN. YES VOLKSWAGENS SUCK. I DID SAY THAT ANYONE WHO BEGS TO DIFFER IS AN JUST WRONG AND THEY CAN ARGUE THAT WITH ME. BMW for LIFE.

| Got hit by a car carrier end of last year, his fault! Tore the front end off my 318. Got his details and went right to my insurance. AAMI towed my car to the shop and got started right away on her. Got the bars coded to white while in on that repair and only had to pay for the rear and the sills as the front had to be painted back to grey anyway. Got her back good as new in 1 week. Turns out the truck was insured with AAMI as well which made things a little interesting. I have full comp so the car gets fixed right away and the details are sorted later... couple of months on AAMI call to get me to clarify my details of the accident and get a written statment and a signed diagram of how I say it happened. Seems that even when it's within the same company they fight it out for who's at fault even when it's blaringly obvious that the truck driver was an idiot. All said and done, my car is like new, I hate car carriers, $620 a year fro full comp is nothing whit service like AAMI
