| alright guys i have a confession to make, i used to be a ricer . it was not that long ago that i decided to get a truck instead because i thought i would save money since i was not really interested in fixing up trucks. i am getting into the whole dtm racing scene but while doing my research i found out that the same mods i would get for my 3000gt are actually cheapper than some of BMWs performance mods. this fact upsets me because its pushing me back to my ricer roots. i just need somebody to punch some sense into me.p.s. i will put my truck on cardomain soon. after spending close to 5Gs in pure looks. ![]() |

| I used to have a Civic Si with a Del Sol DOHC motor transplant, Integra GSR tranny, CAI, headers, exhaust, clutch, ECU, ignition, the works. I even had the cams and valvetrain upgraded on the motor so that the car would revv up to 10,000 RPMs. It was pretty fast for a normally aspirated Civic and a ton of fun to drive! Now I have a '00 328Ci. It is much slower than my Civic, but I absolutely love my Bimmer so much more than my Civic! My Bimmer feels so solid and I feel so pampered when driving it! Sure, the parts may cost a little more, but look around when buying the performance parts. Most of the time you'll be able to find the same parts for a discounted price (you just need to know where to look). The other great thing about Bimmers is that you can change parts from other cars (i.e., ZHP or M3 parts). You will usually be able to get those at a really good price too.

| Its always a trade off. You want a car thats interior wont be falling apart in 10 years? Or you want cheap and very understandably popular hp with less torque and displacement than a 2L bottle of coke, in many instances. Thats what we Bimmerheads have to deal with, our SCs cost upwards of 5K and most dont see beyond 400hp. On the other hand spend 4K on a civic and you can be pushing far more than that (how reliable I dont know), lets not even talk Supra. Mariano
