Diesel Race Car

On the news a while ago there was a bit about a race team running a diesel. It was in the endurance race series.
Anyone hear about this and have more info?

its Audi. the successor to the R8 is a diesel. its now the R10 i believe. v10 turbo diesel like 650hp and larger amounts of torque. correct me if im wrong on any of this, im going off memory of press releases.

Diesel motor has one heck of a long stroke. Wonder what the block is going to be made from? So far never seen one that was not cast iron. No question the motor can run for days on end.
There going to be adding a whole lot of weight to the car.

holy shit, diesel biturbo running at 43 psi (limited by race regulations, lol). god damn. 650hp 812 lbft. powerband from 3-5k, i bet thats a first for a lemans engine, haha.
