| I had an e30 for my first car (which i still have) and ive loved it! they're a great little car to own but just keep in mind that most being +10years old most will come with problems. Parts can be (and are) expensive and labour can end up costing a bit too, when it comes to servicing only use BMW or Euro speacilist DTM Australia Tuningwerks (Parts, Accessories, Tuners) Apart from this e30's are great fun to drive, look good and have good moddifying potential!

| i think it always helps when owning a BMW especially in australia if you or someone you know can repair minor problems for cheap because most mechanics will charge u a bundle when it comes to euros

| Learn to do the work yourself, best money saving option around, plus you get to learn more about your car and how it works so next time their is a problem you may already know the answer. For example, My waterpump went in my 735... Dealership wanted $280 CDN for the pump, $260 for the Pump+Install (Shows you how much its marked up), instead I went to my parts guy who orders from the same place the dealership does, picked it up for $100 + an hour of my time = saved me close to $200 and works good.

| theyre great cars. had mine since i was 16, im 19 now and plan on getting rid of mine soon. I wanna get a Mercedes Benz C36 AMG. Never left me stranded once. Good car to learn how to work on cars, I love my E30 and will probly miss it when its gone but I want something bigger and driving a stick for 3 years would make it nice to have a fast car with an automatic. Good luck on the search, lots of crappy E30s out there. Make sure you get one with a good service history reguardless of miles. Also make sure the timing belt has been done recently, if not then do it or else your "new" car will be a worthless pile of scrap when it breaks.
