Winter tires...

I'm gonna need to purchase winter/snow tires soon. There's no way in hell I'm gonna run my current tires all winter lol. I was wondering what you guys are planning on or already swapped into your cars?

I was actually just wondering the same thing for my car. I currently have Continental Contact Contisport 2's taht are going bald in the rear and I was wondering if i should just chance it and get another set of ultraperformance summer tires or if i should get some blizzaks or all season tires for the winter...

I just use a performance all season tire. Toyo Proxies 4, superb grip in the summer and gets me around in "light" snow during winter.

I have toyo proxies on my 325, they are awesome all around tires, but I HAVE to keep snow chains in my car. There are times where I drive in snow thats over a foot deep.

With the m3, I'm looking to get some sort of a studded tire. There is going to be no way in hell it will get where I need it to this winter.

I run Dunlop Graspic DS2's on 15" rims. I had no trouble last year in the snow/ice. Esp when ice racing

^that looks entirely too enjoyable.

blizzaks would be my vote. i have a 2 ton volvho wagon now so it doesnt really have too much difficulty even though it is RWD. funniest thing about the damn car though is that the turning radius is ridiculous so you get it checked up doin almost 90 degrees sideways and still be in control. blizzaks worked wonders on the old bimmer though.

yes, but do they make blizzaks in a 225/40ZR19 front and 255/35ZR19 rear?

255/35/19 snow tires is an oxymoron.

Get yourself some smaller BMW wheels and mount some snow tires on them.

Better yet, just get a snow tire/wheel package from the tirerack.

I use Michelin Arctic Alpin's and they work great. And still handle good to, not mushy at all.

I'm not sure what tire I should go with...

1. Blizzaks
2. Dunlop's
3. michelin's

they're all pretty much around the same price range... give or take a few
