| How do u set up the BMW garage door opener on a M-coupe (Z3?) Can someone please help me. I just bought a 2001 M-coupe and it has a garage door opener built into the arm rest and I was trying to figure out how to use it. The directions had told me to push the two outside buttons and hold for 20 sec and a light shall flash. Well, no light had flashed. It also told me to hold a transmitter at the end of it about 3-5 inches away. (does that mean that I take a hand held garage door opener to it?) I don't understand how that could possibly work. Please any infromation is great information. If you know how to set up a BMW garage door opener please post. |

| I think it's supposed to just pick up the signal and replicate it but just to warn you if you have a newer garage door opener it won't work because newer openers scoll the codes. figured that out on a volvo after trying for half an hour.
