330ci with 18" rims?!? please help

I just put on my new rims tonight, 18" M3 rims are on now. They look absolutely amazing! The only thing i noticed is that when i pull into the driveway that my back tires rub on the outside edge of my fenders. I then drove around and noticed that they seem to rub under medium cornering and any decent sized bump in the road. Definately some rubbing going on! Anybody out there have this problem and know how to fix it? BTW, if anybody is interested in my perfect condition sports package 17" rims let me know!

yah thats what i thought i might have to do. it is really strange how bad they are rubbing. they seriously look sick though, real wide stance now with the tires popping out on the sides. how do you go about rolling the fenders? is this something i can do? basically take a hammer to the inside of the fender to bend that lip up right??

NO DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF there should be a shop around your area that can do it for you yu will need a special tool to roll your fenders if you do not do it right the paint around your fenders will crack and peel

There is no reason that 18's should be rubbing on an E46. THe sport package is available with 18 inch rims. The problem is probably with the offset. Change the offset and bring the wheels in just a tad in the rear and you shouldnt have a problem.

help

so here is my problem after spending the entire day talking to the local bmw dealership and autobody shops i still have not been able to find a solution for my tire rubbing problem. the tires and rims i have on the rear right now are: 9" wide 18"/255/40 and im having a severe rubbing problem. the options are: 1. roll the fenders without any guaruntee of it totally fixing the rubbing problem and the possibility i will crack my paint. 2. try to put a different sized tire (245 wide) and hope it doesnt rub. 3. go to a machine shop and have them take off an 1/8" or a 1/4" and hope they are able to fit then. i really need help on this problem...any ideas or anybody delt with this problem before???

I'm not 100% sure, but i know when you order rims, you can order them with different offsets. Talk to a wheel manufacturer, or seller. All I know is that my buddy with an S4 and I were talking about it the other day, and he was mentioning that BMW's have really big offsets. my Stock 19's on my M3 sure fit fine, but then again they were designed for the car. The service department should have known something....

Thats interesting that it rubs, I have those exact same rims on my E46 and there is no rubbing at all. Maybe post some pics so we can see how close it really is.
