Banglebuggy... good name for something that doesn't deserve to be called a BMW. I'm sure that some people will be thrilled that they can now get new pre-riced bimmers. *sigh* It'll be a good while before they make something as nice as the E46...

I won't insist that all Z4's be destroyed, as that's a new model, not the ruination of a perfectly good design.

How do those cars not deserve to be called BMWs? Because you think they are ugly? Looks never have been what made BMW what it is. Lots of people thought the Z1, and8 series was ugly. Balges cars re not the first BMWs to be considered ugly. The e90 will out perform a comparable e46 in any way shape or form. And that is what makes BMW, BMW their performance.

that cayanne is hideous! sorry but chris bungole's cars will never be classics. 10 years from now people are gonna look and be like "wow BMW made some ugly cars back then!"

i think they look hot as shit, not as sporty as the e36 and e46, but im definately a fan of the new style. I think that as time passes, everyone will grow to appreciate the new look, just like they did with the e46

it has nothing to with with forcing myself to like anything. It grew on me, as it has alot of people. Its like acquiring a taste for say, onions...i didnt like them at first, and by no means did i ever make myself eat them, but now i cant eat a hamburger without them...

I guess I forgot to put the sarcasm icon after the opinionated.

Tis all very well and good that an e90 can stomp an e46... but I don't want to drive a car that makes me sneer a little every time I see it. I don't want to have to sigh and remind myself that it's only about the performance and not even a little bit about the aesthetics. I want a car that I like/love everything about it.

I don't think that's too much to ask for a general purpose daily driving car - BMW obviously has some people working on styling as well as performance. It's not as if these are A1/F1/LM/DP cars whose sole job in life is to hurl a highly trained professional around a closed track at frightening speeds. For that I could forgive uninspiring looks on the grounds that aesthetics was not a design aim - that for racecars it really is about speed, and you got lucky if it looks good too. These are cars to go to the grocery store, the country club, to work or on vacation with. We've come to expect "sheer driving pleasure" from our BMWs... I don't think we should have to taint that with a less-than-enthusiastic response to the styling and design.

Now if you do happen to really like the e90, well, I'm not going to cut in front of you on the order list. I'll just throw money at building up an e36 or e46 until something else I fall in love with comes along.

the 3 and 5 look good, the 1 is awful (but i think that car is nasty no matter what) and that cayenne belongs in miami and should have a tanning bed in the back...
