STUPID QUESTION

sorry for such an ignorant question, but i just got carbon fiber bmw roundels for my E36 (they look sick BTW) and I was wondering if anyone could give me a quick explanation on how to replace the OEM hood and trunk roundels... im sure i can just pop the new ones in but I dont wanna take out the old ones the wrong way.... thanks alot guys

You'll need something to protect the paint, and something to pry. Personally, I use a cotton or microfiber cloth underneath an old credit card (or similar). You destroy the card, but you can use it to pry.

You might also be able to use the cloth and the card to protect while using a wide flathead screwdriver to pry.

In any case, be as gentle as you can, to avoid denting or scratching anything. And you may or may not need new rubber grommets.

thanks alot man, I just did it in like 5 mins... they look great too, im gonna get pics of my car up soon anyway since I just had all kinds of goodies put on..... i used the same rubber gromets that were already there too by the way

Yea that how all the homeless people do it in the cities when they steal them. A screw driver. Turns out it really works!! Worked for me anyway
