V1 Install Hidden

I want to buy a V1 or 8500 but I hate the look on the window. I want to hide either decetors. Has anyone done this or seen it done? I saw one guy had a V1 in the rear middle headrest. Any other Suggestions? I have an 03 540

v1 has tons of assesories and culd be hardwired also the rear view miror is pretty cool also

Inside the third brakelight housing is one place. Or inside one of those flat tissue boxes and clipped to the visor is another.

the better you hide it the less effective it is, radar will still get to it but laser wont. it basically needs to be able to "see" 360 deg. around you. if the laser doesn't hit it but hits a tissue box or some panel of you car, the v1 wont get it. thus you get no warning and you get screwed. similar to putting you cable box in one of those damn ikea things, it wont change channels from the side but head on its fine. just warning you, granted i wish i could hide mine but once again, function over form. if its illegal in your state, then by all means, hide it where you cant even find it. good luck

I have mine wired into my driver side dome light underneath of my sunvisor. I then fed the V1 wire out of the headliner infront of the rear view mirror. The wire sticks out about 3 inchs and the V1 is suction-cupped to the top of the windshield. From outside you can barely see it, and if a cop ever to be standing beside me he would not be able to see it. And it still works perfectly. Sorry i have no pictures

why do you wanna hide it? If you are worried about cops seing them, just tint your windows maybe? lol

Or detached it when you see a cop pull up next to you or behind you

Well for me it's illegal to have a Radar or Laser detection device in use while operating a moving vehicle. And in most states you can't tint your windshield.

A kid from high school had a 03 or 04 Cobra and mounted the V1 in the grill and hard-wired it into the driver seatbelt warning light, because in the Cobra it would blink and beep. It worked right well, he never got caught.
