| It's not worth the cost from BMW. Go get a nice aftermarket setup from of the vendors on this board. They look better and are a step up from OEM. Installation by yourself may be hard because I've heard of people trying to install the OEM kit and needing the computer reprogramed to output enough power to the lights. Sounds like fun.

| unfortunately they are not, 500dollar option seems alot easier at this point but its not available...this is what im looking at from the vendor its from mmotorwerks DEPO Projector46 Headlights w/ DDE Lightning & Optional HID (comes with angel eyes preinstalled) then I added the Optional HID (pre installed) 5000k That's going to be $920 sent to my house then ActiveAutowerks will install them for $270 so around 1200 for xenons and angel eyes...not terribly bad...do you think I should go forward with this? I said active because they are the only ones I know here in miami that work on them and I would never trust myself to do the install...

| Xenons are a good option of making your car stand out on the road. I would be happy just owning a 2005 M3 but if you have the money to add the Xenon kit go for the ones w/ angel eyes, they look so much better and it will really make your car stand out there on the road.

| Wow, I thought they were standard. Youd think dropping that kind of dime would get you a silly option like that.

| 90% of m3s come with them from the factory, and yes they do look very cool, but besides that they also throw out alot of light and that is perhaps my favorite thing about them, the first time i drove on a really dark road at night and used them i said to myself i will never buy a car without them |

| Should I go with the 5000k or the 6000k...anyone have some pics to tell the difference between them? they tell me that 5k is the white with the slight blueish and that 6k is the blueish with the slight purple...but I want to know how slight purple...I like the blue but not the purple....a buddy of mine is telling me to get the 6k...that his mazda rx8 is 4k and they cool down to a whitish/yellowish...that only the 12k ones get really purple. What do you guys think?

| go to koperformance.com im pretty sure they have a comparison of the different temperature bulbs on their site somewhere, just check under the lighting section for bmws |

| Man, I'm more stuck now than when I first started...Ive gone into heavy research...doing research on hidplanet.com where they claim all hidkits are garbage and to go with oem. Problem with that is, they don't sell an oem kit of a headlamp assembly with the projector already installed all they will sell you is the bosch projector, then you have to buy ballasts bulbs and wiring all seperate...not to mention my car is setup for H7 power outtage. Secondly, been doing research on UMNITZA's projector46 with prolumen setup, been hearing pretty good things about it. Don't know whether to go with mmotorwerks or umnitza's setup. Supposedly prolumen bulbs are better than xtec...prolumen being used in umnitza and xtec in mmotorwerk.. I'm just damn confused...

| All I know, is that Umnitza is quality. My buddy just got some 6000k (non-xenon) angel eyes for his E36, and I was VERY impressed with the quality. My opinion would be to go with Umnitza. Here's what his ride looks like with the lights on during the daytime: ![]() Check out some more shots of his car here: My '93 325i, I keep it clean Thanks, -Jeremy |

| Go with the factory Xenons, and then get aftermarket angel eyes. One simple reason. GLARE. The factory Xenons have automatic leveling, you will see it when you start the car in a dark place. Very important. Plus you get the badass projector setup. STOCK. My dad had them on his e46 330ci, and I was very impressed. Also came with the auto on/off feature, that was pretty handy. |
