Is this right

I have a 98 328i auto. I usually always drive in the "M" mode which allows me to shift throgh the 4 gears. Is it normal to be able to raise the revs all the way to 6700 rpms? My car feels so much faster when i bring it up to about 6500. Just wondering if this is right, i would think the auto tranny would shift when it got to high. So is this normal?

yeah i sometimes use the m mode on my auto but i also have a tranny chip that will let me get to 7K nothing sounds better

and if you are in M it wil not shift for you that is why you should just keep it in a mode just to be safe

dinan has them and i think they are the only one that makes them yu get an extra 250-500rpm's and faster shifts and of course if you shift up by yourself you could hit 7k no problem
