| Custom Intake Manifold Questions... If you were to build a custom intake manifold where would the following benefits be in fabrication: more torque more hrosepower --> loose in torque i have heard the length of the runners matter quite a bit. Also would it be a good idea to go with the biggier plenum possable? would this setup be different between, 4,6, and 8 cyclinder engines? |

| longer runners is like a CAI type thing as apposed to a short ram. with longer runners the air is cooled. ofcourse the setup would be different. If u have ever seen a chevy v8, such as an LS1 the runners are designed in a cross pattern to allow for better breathing. There is a difference between every type of motor, such as an I6 compared to an H4 (horizontally apposed 4 cylinder, its what subaru uses), or a I4 or a V8. |
