m3 engine swap

my m3's engine isnt doing to well and i was wondering whats the newest year m3 engine that wiill work with my 1995 m3 body and how much they usually run for and how mucht he install would be?????

With some work you could drop a new m3 motor in it. But with minimal mods a 99 would be the newest. The install would depend on who you know and where you are getting the motor. Look to spend at least 3000

It may be a serious waste of time to drop so much cash on a new engine if your's can be repaired. I'd go get an estimate for that before vomiting cash on a new one.

Honestly, that isn't technically possible to do yet unless you can afford stand alone EMS, or have access to a factory EMS programmer. As of now I can only think of one guy who has actually been able to do this, and he did it to a '98 Z3. He had to buy the factory computer himself and the final bill for the project was near or above $20,000. If you want that much power then look into the euro S50B32. I've heard that cost as little as $5K.
