| Saw my first 1er yesterday... I saw my first 1er yesterday and I must say I am not impressed by its outer appearance, in fact before I could say anything my GF said it was ugly. Defintely won't be going on my list of favorite BMWs.

| it might sell well over in europe, but i don't see it having much of a future here in the states, the american car consumer doesn't think of bmw as a compact/cheap car and that will be the 1 series greatest pitfall, bmw tried it before with the 318ti and mercedes tried it with the c230/320 hatchbacks which will be or already are off the market, granted i know those cars were smaller and were hatchbacks, but they still are the same category of car, the US and european markets/consumers r just too different, why don't u think bmw ever really pushed diesel cars here or their smaller 2.0 liter sixes |

| Mexico has them. I was in Cancun for spring break this year and I saw a bunch of 1er's driving around. They look alot better in person than they do in photos, but im still not a big fan. |
