I'm not putting down the X50. I'm simply pointing out the excellence of the V1.

The x50 is fine in direct sunlight and high heat, mines been in my car for 2.5 summers and on occasion felt like it was on fire inside... yet i havnt had one problem.

Its a good radar detector, ive been very happy with mine
