| Porsche 959 or Nissan Skyline? Which would you rather have and why? Both are AWD and have turbocharged 6 cylinder engines and both are extremely advanced machines. My friend is trying to decide between the two he can either go to Germany and pick up a 959 or go to Japan and pick up a Skyline. I know RUF can do some wonderful things with the 959 even though stock it will destroy just about anything out there and being that is over 20 years old makes it even more amazing. i personally want him to go with the 959. what do you guys think?

| can't believe you are comparing the 959 to a skyline. Both great cars but the 959 is on another league. 959 for sure. Problem is they can only be allowed in the US on a case by case basis and that is with only 2,500 miles a year I believe. http://www.canepa.com/SportsLuxury/S...leAutoweek.asp ![]() ![]()

| How is this even a topic of discussion? The 959 is, as has already been pointed out, a supercar - you're comparing it to a skyline?? bleh, the negative effects of too much 2f2f create these mis-conceptions. The 959 is only allowed in the US on a 'show car' basis (which took several years and several strings to get approval for, by piggybacking it onto legislation in congress), which limits them to 2500 miles per year. You can have your own 959 for roughly the same cost as a new CGT.

| Wow, the article Dado posted on the 959 is just craziness. The obvious answer is the Porsche, hands down. Amazing, for once I can appreciate government loopholes and bill riders... One another note, does anyone know if it's the same Holbert [family] as the Porsche/Audi dealerships in southeastern PA? |

agreed, the only thing you can say for both is they both have 4 wheels. the 959 without a doubt is far superior over the skyline if not for the extreme rareness but just for the fact that is one of the sickest porsches next to the CGT |

| the 959 would be awesome, but best bang for your buck would be a R32 GTR if you can find one that hasnt been thrashed badly. R32s are better than the R33s imo because of their lighter body, and although older styled, they look much more agressive. The RB26DETT has a enormous variety of parts avalible and lots of tuning companies are familar with the engine. i know a fair bit about 'lines as they are avalible in abundance here in Australia. But like Dado and M34EVER said, the two cars are at different ends of the spectrum. |

| Im trying to decide between a ferrari f50 and a ford f150, I mean they both have f and 50 in the title they must be similar. Dude a 959 is far beyond reach of nearly anyone, not only because of the price but the chances of finding one and the chances of legally driving it are litterally zero unless you are Bill Gates. Does anyone have production numbers for these handy? |

| skyline for the sheer stupidity of having to ask. if it is that inconsequential of a decision, have your friend pick the one with less value cause it obviously doesn't mean anything.

| ... If you're choosing between a Skyline and a 959, obvious cost of repair is a Non-Issue. 959 is a superior car. Bill Gates isn't the only Microsoft stock holder to own a 959 either =)
