the 1 series is absolutely horrendous. go for the A3 quattro, 6 speed.

unfortunately there's no 130i and never will be. or a 125i.
the highest engine cap is 120is
that's why they wont be bringin it here.

BMW said if the 1 series comes to America, it will be with the inline 6 engines meaning 125 and 130. Because of this, they probably won't be making an M version of the 1 series. Well, the last I hear anyway.

yup there already is a 3 liter 1-serie. just not out on the market "yet"
By the way.. i don't really like them either

the last time i talked to a BMW rep. was at the Pacific International Auto Show and that was on April the 8th, '05.
He told me 1 series is not hitting North America.

I wouldn't really believe a sales rep. at an auto show about future ideas of the company involving their marketing strategies for other countries. Afterall, they really only know what they're told, what's out now, and what they want to tell people about at shows.

Edit: and wouldn't bmw be waiting on more marketing research to make an ultimate decision anyways?

It is ultimately up to BMW NA if they want to import this car, and they've already said that they wouldn't do it unless there was a 6 cylinder version to be had. Now there is one, and I think you can expect to see them coming this way. Get your facts straight.

Everyone is saying 06 for the 1er in America. 32k is not the MSRP for it. Considering the 3er starts at that much.
