| no they will give u a long list of recommended places, but i didnt think of bringing it to a dealer bodyshop. Thats a wicked good idea. They'll give you a high estimate anyways if u go to an audi dealer shop, because they will want u to buy a new audi. Just tell ur parents that they will do the best work since they work on audis all day.

| No, you do not have to go to one of their "recommended shops" and in fact I never would. The dealer's aren't always the most expensive. Find some place that does like custom hot rods and stuff. Rear end is never that bad visibly, but if that rear part is bent it would have to be replacing and you're looking at serious money there. Got any pics?

| Find a body shop known to be expensive. ask them to write you a qoute on the damage and tell them you will deal with the insurance and get them that information later. The insurance company of the lady who hit you will have an insurance adjuster look at vehicle and write a qoute of what they think they owe you. Having a qoute from the other place is a good reference to see if the insurance adjuster missed something. After the insurance adjsuter looks at your car, they will try send the check to the auto place that is going to fix it, but you can just ask for a check from them because you legaly have the right to choose whatever shop you want it fixed at. thats if its not totaled. |

| I got rear ended just like you in my 325i but the person rear ended someone and pushed that person into the rear of my car so it was at a slower speed. The qoute came out to be about $2,000. Luckly my dad has a hobby of rebuilding cars and hot rods so he fixed it on his own time for half the cost. |

| yah i was looking beneath the car and the exhaust piping into the muffler on both side are bent inward, im not sure if they are like that in the first place but it looks like the pressure from the collision caused them to push inward, another importaint thing is that i drove away from the accident and the car was running close to normal with minor shaking of the steering wheel. Ill post some pics tomrorow sometime |
