| end of the turbo I have been really disappointed by the lack of turbo models by almost all manufactures. every new high end sports car is coming out with v8s that created good performance but just aren’t what i grew up admiring. even the new supra is going to be v8. do Americans not want turbo's anymore or what. i grew up admiring cars like the 3000gt, supra,rx7,stealth, ect. Possible modifications for all of these cars were endless and hp really could skyrocket. it is sad that almost none of the cars in the hp wars wil be turbocharged in the future. unless you have mucho $$$ the only modable car is and evo or wrx, and these cars are just not the same as a moded rx7. i have a 9000 aero as my daily and it pushes about 310hp and it is a totally different experience to my s/c m3. Everyone knows its not faster just different. i love the pull of a moded turbo and wish they would come back. I weep at the sight of a V8 in the rs4 that is finally in US. |

| its called Reliability.. also, most people don't want the feel of a turbo. N/A engines produce plenty of power for 95% of the market

| I'd say theres lots of turbo options in the market at almost all price ranges. SRT4, WRX, STi, EVO, 1.8t VWs just to name a few. That combined with the low prices of turbo cars from the 1990s makes this a good time to be a turbo fan IMO.

| i agree that is a good time to pick up a trubo car from the 90's. i'm sorry but todays trubo cars just aren't the same. SRT4, WRX, STi, EVO, 1.8t ehh not the same. i quess i'm stuck in the past but that will just make my rx7 that much better. if i ever get the money Last edited by fitler1 : 05-12-2005 at 04:55 PM. |

| i hate 4 door sports cars, they look like a person just trying to be a star but it can not be.. sure its IMO and one more thing turbo means problems if you have turbo you must have turbo timer etc or you have to wait for the turbo. turbo is a gamble :P real power comes with atmospheric engines ![]() |

| I agree with you as far as looks, its not the same, I guess people are now looking for more practical transportation though, its fun to dream but using a Rx7 dailly is pretty difficult. The Rx7s, Supras, 300zx, Vr4 3000gt ect where dream cars for many, but never sold well. A new Rx7 would not come with a V8, the R in RX stands for rotary. There will however be a new skyline with twin turbos.

I kind of agree. The body of the "stubaru" is almost there, but it got kicked in the face till the eyes bulged and stomped on the ass -- it's stubby. I commend the guys who make it look racey - the mechanics are awesome on the car no doubt. I just wish they would hire a new design team. http://www2.gol.com/users/motors/sho...Subaru-WRX.jpg |
