getting window peices off

Okay well it would just be easiest to replace the whole system for my window to fix it....major problems (not motor) and nobody has a response for it. Well one of the pieces is rivited to the door.......any idea of what to do, what have any of you guys done? Please help

meaning the regulator? The metal X arms that move? Whats the problem with them?

well the motor doesnt make the window go down at all when its normally bolted. I undid it until it started to work, then bolted the whole thing back and then it works for a few mins but crunches at the bottom of the window and stops working once i bring it all the way back up. I want to replace the whole thing, what do i do about the rivits?

All you need to do is to drill them out. This is how its removed from all the window places. You have two options of how to replace it. One you can rerivet the regulator back to its mounting places or use locking nuts and bolts to do the same but can be removed if needed in the future.

nuts and bolts would probably be better....im actually putting the car up for sale once i get it fixed
