Orange or white turnsignals ?!

Hey!

I've noticed that US BMW's comes with orange lights stock.
Theres many keeping them, but obviously theres many changing them to the white ones. I'm just curious, do you guys use white or orange? What color is the "hype" theese days? I did a quick search, and theres many using whites..

I'm from Norway, and I would like to do the US style on my car.
Theres prolly no definition of what the US style is.. but orange lights and painted rims with chromed out edge and so on is alot more common in US, then EU.

Is there other typical US things to do with the E36?

Thx for answers!

Appearance wise it seems to mainly be about a nice drop, M-tech or Reiger bumpers/valences, as well as cleared corners and powdercoated rims, as you said. I'm sure that theres plenty of stuff I've left out, too.

Painted rims is hardly seen over here, at least in Scandinavia.
Most people like the alu or chrome look (chromed/polished lips). Same thing with the lights, "everyone" uses whites, or clear. And M-tech.. whoaa.. again.. "everyone" has it.

is it possible to get a picture of your car? I presume u mean Cosmos Black?

If you click on my photo gallery, you can see the few that I have on mine. Just another Cosmos M3 with ambers and pretty wheels.

Nice ride Mekihead !
but you should lower it a bit more.. guess you have the original m-tech suspension..
My opinion

One question tho.. your oranges looks very orange, hehe, are they different from EU lights?

I've been thinking of putting clears all around on my silver 3 coupe, reasons why I haven't... #1 its about $500 to do them all and #2 I was thinking that with all whites on a silver car, that it would eliminate contrast, so I have been reluctant to do it. I just may keep the oranges on forever...

My oranges, or ambers, as we call them here, look like that because of the crappy camera. They're the same as everyone else's over here. I would swap them out, but I'm cheap. I'm actually considering taking some translucent black paint to them for a clean black look. After that, do the same to the wheels. Satin black.

The suspension is a little high, but it works in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We've got potholes big enough you could bury your dogs in!

Can't forget audio....you'll be hard pressed to find a tuned BMW in the US without an upgraded sound system.

=)

Black rims would be cool, want to do the same with my Breyton Magic wheels.
But you shouldnt paint ur ambers, buy the real stuff. Quality..

More pics of US bimmers with orange ambers guys?
I'm not familiar with US BMW sites.. can only find white ambers here in EU
:x
