Paint Matching

I have a quick question

I have some small areas where the paint is starting to bubble. My brother is certified in Auto Body so he is repairing this, all he needs is for me to get the paint.

My Car is Hennarot, but its 21 years old, and am not sure of when it was painted last, it has been because the paint is in too good of condition to not have. So if I get the paint mixed by code, it may not match correctly. Is there shops that can colour match instead of using the paint code?

I got qouted from a paint store 15$ for a pint of paint but I think that was using the code.

with a car this old your pretty much screwed. color matching is an art. and your most likly right that its not the original color. have ur bro try the oem color, if its off u know what u gotta do, or just have the whole car resprayed in the oem color.

Go to your local dealer and ask for a sales rep. A lot of times sales rep's keep customer business cards and have many good places that the dealer outsources work to, or just ask for some good body shops. A really good shop should be able to tell exactly what color it is, using - from what I've been told - some sort of electronic scanner. If you can get paint that will match the paint you have now, you should be fine.
