| Correction Didn't see at first that it was an E36 that you were asking about.....that changes everything: 1995 BMW M3 6.2 14.60 With those numbers you can see that now the SRT-4 will take the cake.....but you are only getting like 13mpg with the neon.....all in all they are such different cars that this is hard to compair. |

| Straight line, aftermarket prices, engine modability - neon everything else - M3

| srt-4 is a great little car for the money, but i'd still want the e36 m3 over it (im guessing most other people who feel the same way), however if dodge ever put a 6-speed and all-wheel drive on that car...things might be alittle different |

| I think if dodge canned the whole neon idea and brought back a stealth with awd and 6 speed they'd be better off. the neon is just not a sexy car . And the wheel hop at launch is one of my biggest pet peeves in a car. I'm not a stealth fan at all, but if the chassis were lightened and the 270hp was resurected from the 3 liter, and current styling could be put to use, build the stealth and sell it for 25K. thats my 2 cents.Note: I really don't think front wheel drive cars are good sports cars. |

I base my judgements on what I've read and people I've talked to. I havent driven the F40 in my sig but I know its a great car. Have you? would you like to correct my assesment?

| never knocked it. I think its a great car for the money. I though my conclution was fair considering that most things about a car are subjective. I gave credit to the great engine and aftermarket that surrounds the car. A lot of the "stigma" related to your car results from fellow members who act like they are way too hot shit. Nothing we can do about it though.

| its a neon, once a neon always a neon. i think it would come down to driver in almost every catagory performance wise. well actually top end the neon might lose but im not sure.

| I have driven a brand new SRT4 neon and driven my car. The M3 is hands down better. The damb Neon is lighter but has way to much wheel hop, and it spins the tires to easily. The car is not planted well enough to the ground so i dont think it will win in a drag/road racing stock 2 stock. Anyways i think that dodge did a pretty good job with the neon. For 20k i say it's worth it if you want to spend it on a brand new car. But i would put my money into a used M3. Anyways i'm not really a big fan of fwd cars. they suck at cornering and there isn't any oversteer to play with.
