sounds like an e46 3 series - or maybe even an e36.

18x9" Hamann PG2 rubs slightly on the rear of the e36 with a 46mm offset (and this is on the inside). Figure if you keep the overall tire diameter the same as a 255/35/18, you will have a good chance of it fitting.
