I'm sure many of you have heard of the short films at bmwfilms.com. I was wondering what everyone thought of them and what's your favorite. 'Star' is my favorite. It's with the M5. I don't know why they haven't used the M3 in a film yet..

dude, those are amazing films. I think the one with the Z4 and the delivery of the heart is a good one, also, the James Brown one is insane too. I am actually doing a project on these films for my Mass Media class, should be fun and the people in class should enjoy them.

Yeah, the one about the heart is a really good one. I wonder why they haven't used the M3 yet. I guess they rather use the other cars because they sell more of those than the M cars...

i talked to some people from BMW and they said that the reason that they dont use the M3 is because the films were used as a marketing tool for the Z4, those films came out when the Z4 started to hit the streets, and as for the M5, the car itself is more of an exotic car, like the Z8, which never sold like people thought it would, so the M5 in the films is to try to market the car...who knows...a film with an m3 would be amazing though.

^How do you explain the X5, 540i, 740i, 330ci and Z3?

i dont think there is a need to make a movie about the X5, 540i,740i,330ci and or the Z3. All those cars have been in the market before the Z4 and the new M5, plus the cost to make these movies are insane, specially with all the actors or celebrities in them. Remember that the Z3 and the Z8 were both in 007 movies, so that could be one reason that they didnt make a BMW film about those 2 cars.

Go to bmwfilms.com and buy the DVD. That is what I did. I think it is $6.00. I live 'Star' too.....something about that M5 drifting everywhere..

Yeah, Star is a good one, and the one with the Z4 and delivering the "special package" is called Ticker.

they made movies on the X5, 540i, and 740i...

reason why i think Z8 never sold was because...for a "lesser" price u can pick up a 911 C4 and save 20,000$..so i think people leaned towards a porsche rather then a Z8..

Umm, they did make movies based on those cars, hence my post.

The Follow is my favorite. Two ordinary cars with pretty ordinary driving. Wong Kar Wai's commentary explains it all.

Star is probably the funniest, all have tons of action....the best acting would have to be the one with the brief case and the helo with the guns over head, can't remember the name. But there all really good, very good direction!
