| The only problem with powerwashers is if you have a lot of rock chips. A powerfull power washer can make a small chip into a big one if your not carefull. The problem is, sometimes you can't see a really small rock chip, and you'll go over it... and well...... not pretty. Other than that..... POWERWASH!! Last edited by Jd886 : 03-16-2005 at 10:58 PM. |

| I wise old Ducati rider once told me in regards to bike washing... "It is criminal to shoot a high-power stream of water at anything that isn't designed to work under water". Take this as you will...but if you apply some common sense to it....you are forcing water into every little corner it can get into. Rain or a low pressure hose won't force water where it shouldn't go. Granted, bikes are much more exposed than cars. I always handwash and take the car/bike for a quick spin to remove standing water on the underside. |

| power wash is way better. i wash my car once a week sometimes two. just don't let the dirt built up too much and make sure you don't already have chips in your paint and you'll be a o.k.

| I have to powerwash, but I hand washed her this weekend! Looking good, besides the fact that the Mid-Atlantic is retarded when it comes to weather. It can't choose what she wants, sunny 70's then next day Snow???? But oh well...

| I always power wash. It works great. Especially when you've went on a long trip and you have many buds on the hood and windscreen of the car. It takes them right off unless they've been baked on by the sun. Hand wash is also good.

| Hand wash. You'd be hard pressed to make a new paint finish look bad, but what matters is how it looks 12 years down the line. Powerwashes strip wax, damage paint, warp aluminum engines, warp brakes, mess up just about everything. |
