| What would you get/do? I have $10,000 US to spend on a car, I want a BMW, I've looked at every one I can afford, and would like some advice from people who have experience. Thanks, Pat |

| Get a 318ti and toss a m3 engine in it, faster than a e36 m3, less insurance. Of course u would want to upgrade many things so maybe a little more than 10k but it would be a fun project.

[edit] now that i look at it you could get a 97-98 328is http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...st=1627#vdptop manual, less than 100000 miles

| I was thinking about buying a 318ti and swapping the engine as you said, but does anyone know how much that would cost me, My father is a mechanic at BMW, hes the one that came up with the idea and said if I were to come up with the money it would be no problem, any suggestions for where I could get a E36 m3 motor.......... |

| NO WAY that car is my baby, I'm always gonna have that Tundra, it pushes out around 400hp, but i've recently had the need for speed and going 120mph in the tundra doesn't feel safe at at all, and I 've always wanted a bimmer |

| i've got an idea...keep your tundra and invest the 10k...you'll be much happier down the road...i dunno why ppl let $$ burn holes in their pockets...you'll have a greater reward of money management as well as monetary increase to which u may purchase an even pimper car...

| mr2....hehehe jk... look for a somewhat beat up E30 M3. A friend of mine got his for $4,800 and has done quite a bit of work on it to bring it back to great condition (rebuilt the bottom end). It still has a little bit of body damage he's still working on. www.modtech.us It's somewhere on there. ah, here http://www.gilliattpromotions.com/m3/ Old pics, but he's removed all the decals/stickers and took out the front bumper grill piece. Looks a lot better now... still a lot of time to go.
