which camera?

Okay, i was really lean ing towards the SONY DSC-F828, but after going to a photography forum i figured out that what would be best for me would be something like either the Nikon D70, Pentax *ist DS , or the Canon EOS 300D, now i have seen LOTS OF great shots right here on this site, and jsut wanted to know ur opinions on these three cameras. Any Pros/Cons?

I have the D70 and loving it. My total was $1,690(camera, BB 4-year warranty, 1gig Extreme mcard). I haven't played with the 20D yet, I read reviews, everyone LOVED it....talk to lehman he has one(go to General Discussion-find 24 hours Daytona Practice, awesome shots!). But remember, a good photographers only as good as his eyes!

Hands down Nikon D70.... Haven't found 1 thing I don't like about it yet.

yeah....I'm with Dado...nothing beats the image quality you get with an SLR, plus...with the 1/8000 shutter speed you can take those amazing fast action pictures. Needless to say...D70 pwnes all others...

and now with the $200 rebate you can't beat the d70... If money is no object then go with the D2X.
