Pictures from Sundays Roebling Road test 'n tune

Just a few pics - The vantage point was a tough one, but thanks to Chris's (czm3) kickass telephoto lens on loan from the BPG collection, a few decent pictures resulted from the day. Mitch and Hugh were there tweaking the Moton suspension settings on our World Challenge SRT-4, and the weather could not have been nicer, especially considering the extremely nasty weather the previous day.

Ahh nice Kaminari lip on the SRT!! You should post this up at SRTForums as well Chris. Tell Mitch and Hugh to roll the back bumper now since its acting as a parachute without an exhaust back there. Tell tehm to l.ook underneath the rear bumper and find the 2 straps, pull the middle section up and bolt the 2 straps tight and vwallah.

Well....no. Hugh laid waste to the majority of the field with relative ease. I watched the in-car camera last night and the only one I didn't see him blast past was the GT3.

They aren't letting me get my hands on the video, either until after the season starts.

Great pics Chris, youre obviously getting more use out of that lens than I would be. The shutter speed for the track is perfect, fast enough to catch the motion, but slow enough to show movement. My guess is 1/500 sec.

Where is that track? I am sick of all the ice and snow here, and my e36 is good to go. Hopefully it will be more reliable than last season. I definitely am planning qa trip south before the start of the season here.

The best part is those were taken by Mitch with the D70 set to full auto.

Roebling Road is located near Savannah Georgia..about an hour from my place on Hilton Head Island.

The track is Roebling Road Raceway in Georgia, just outside of Savannah.

I thought a few more pics might be nice here as well....

P.S. I took the pictures, not Chris who was stuck slaving away at the shop!

It's the first time I ever used the D-70 or your lens for that matter! Chris gave me a 3 minute crash course on the camera. Obviously it's a good camera as I have NO photography skill whatsoever....

Mitch, forget this tuning thing and become a photographer, this image is almost perfect.

You have the right balance between sharp and blurry here. The car is sharp yet a sharp car could be standing still. The blurry flagman conveys the motion. Awesome

i like the kaminari lip, but i would destroy it in a second driving around town

do you have coilovers on it, or springs?

btw: some people have been talking about mopar doing more then stage 3 for speed... it will be interesting what happens in 2-3 months. that car have any go fast parts as of yet?
