Ok guys i bought a brand new mini cooper, i recieved it on the 6th or janurary. Ever since i got it the tranny was acting stupid. I took it in for service the other day (thursday 27) and they are telling me they are going to need my car for a while, that i might need a new tranny. I called today and the guy isnt there so now i have to wait till monday just to find out the problem. They wont give me a loaner. Bro this is bullshit, what can i do, Can i get a new car or what. I am pissed, a new car and this bull shit.

damn all you guys on the eastcoast constantly get fucked by dealerships. I have to admit the BMW/Mini Dealership here has never given me even a fraction of what you guys deal with. Start taking it up the dealerships chain of command.. Start with the service guy, then go to the service manager, then go to dealership manager.. Sometimes just by threatening to do that that'll be more responsive

You should have the right to a loaner if your car is some what of a lemon. Or atleast I think you should. Look up on that.

Theres only like 2 good BMW/Mini Dealers here on the East Coast. All the others lie and cheat. Its ridiculous man. I've had to put up with so many managers and whatnot. They don't do anything. Then I contacted BMWUSA

i'm agreeing with everyone else, start taking your complaints higher up the chain of command but tell everyone that you're dealing with what you're doing. that way they know their being watched by their superiors. usually gets stuff done.

Kind of a crappy deal there, sounds like your dealership isn't that great either. Talk to someone about that. I've seen a few MINI's getting transmission work where I am...so you're not the only one. Keep in mind though, parts departments keep good stock but don't have everything, not to mention from time to time it can take a bit to get parts such as a transmission. Then there's the time to remove and install. I agree everyone should get the quickest service possible, but there's situations where it just doesn't go that way...understand that, but there is a difference between getting dicked around and getting good help. Find out more about the situation from service and go from there.
