You were offered a considerable concession as an apology, yet you still chose to show your true colors.
As it's CLEAR that you decided to drag our name through the mud for no reason, people should know that:
a) there was no binding contract whatsoever - a promise that we would do our best to attend
b) we apologized because 3 of our guys were simply unavailable and I offered you a large concession on price as an apology for not being able to attend - which would have covered your "supposed lost revenue" on an event that drew about 1/30th of what you promised would attend.
I recall our conversations from your end and the "promises" you didn't keep:
1) We'll have MTV filming this event
2) We'll have 300+ participants
3) We'll have 1000s of brochures and visitors getting those brochures.
Seems like while we failed to show, and we admitted that it was our fault by offering you concession, you failed to live up to even 1 of those promises. What was WORSE is you verbally AND via documented emails THREATENED US via thinly veiled extortion attempts to gain our cooperation. Had you not done that, I would have been a little more amenable to your terms...but I will NOT cowtow to your immature, feeble, and nonsensical
extortion attempts.
For your cost of including our logo onto the brochures I offered you $60 (which is about $50 more than it actually cost) for the 100 brochures you probably passed out.
You shouldn't have said anything. Business is business. You didn't fulfill your promises, we didn't fulfill ours. We attempted to make amends, you decided to attempt extortion. You showed your true colors.
