I am thinking of buying a 318i coupe. My reason cause one its light and two I am on a budget of some sort. So my question is do I swap in a s14 88 m3 motor or what would be a good for a god price. Sorry this may sould cheap but i dont want to spend anymore the 4k on the swap.

If your looking for cheap, get that 318. and that supercharger for it, DASC or somethin. I was thinkin about helping my g/f do the same thing.

I thought about that but i am an all motor guy. So i dont know the first thing of using a supersharder or a turbo. so im left with all motor which i love so....what are my options anyone....

Good luck finding a working S14 for 4k. Looking at some remanufactured sites, I found one for roughly $7,000 for a longblock http://remanufactured.com/BMW_Engines.htm

It's gonna be rough for you to do a complete swap with anything decent for 4k. Good luck.

Im goin for all motor in my 325, workin on building the bottom end of a 3.0L block right now. MAYBE, and thats a big maybe, nitrous later.
I just wanted a daily driver for cheap and to be quick so that was my idea.
You can always do that and save up your money for an S14, but their expensive.

Also take into consideration that the S14 is a very finicky engine.

If you want a cheap upgrade then just supercharge the M50. The S14 is a waste.

'on budget' and 's14' shouldn't be used together. .

you'll have less problems/costs and more power with an M50 install

cool thinks guys i think im jsut going to buy this 328i i found for 6k and mod that little by little.
