Warranty Question(s) (paint/clearcoat)

Hi all,

I discovered 2 (small) bubble like hump (clear coat / paint still unsure) on the hood and I am curious of what kind of warranty would be covered. Would I get a replacement hood (if requested) direct from germany or would they be simply repainted locally?

Should it be painted locally, what of the resale value for the car? I read couple of threads if the car (whole/partial) has been repainted, the value will go down by certain percentile. Is this true?

Considering that the hood has small nicks done by rock chips, would it be considered into the warranty as well?

I will be bringing it to the dealer tomorrow to see what they say. Just wanted to get ready what kind of possible scenarios would arise during conversation.

PS It's an 04 JB, received it around May this year (2004).

so you picked up this car in May and just noticed this? It's been a while so not sure what is going to happen. If you had pointed that out as soon as the car came in it wouldn't be a problem. Good luck

Actually it just happened. I picked it up without any at all, discovered it like few days ago.
