Instrument Cluster Swap

i was just curious to know if anyone has ever done/heard or anyone taking the cool "trick" instrument clusters from an e39 m5/e46 m3 and putting them in another car, i think they look really good and was wondering if it would be possible to relocate them into another car, most likely and e36 m3.
