Is this fiberglass bumper fixable??

I've had this Zeemax rear bumper for a couple of weeks now after someone on the boards sold it to me. It was damaged during shipment. Would the fiberglass crack be repairable without having visible damage once painted? Would the bumper not be as strong or rigid if repaired? Would it be worth having it fixed, sprayed and mounted or should I just trash it and go the ABS route? Any input would be greatly appreciated as I will decide whether to send the car and bumper to the body shop this week. Here are some pics of it. Thanks!

Yes. I've seen my cousin fix up much worse than that. Good luck with that though, I know its a bummer getting something in that condition.

Thats an easy fix, i would have th ebody shop fix it prior ro spraying it, i would stay with the fiberglass, like abs, and all the othere plastics kinda suck because the mold release is really hard to get off and therefor most of the time the paint doesn't stick, plus if you ever have to repair it again, its easier and cheaper to fix than plastic.

Ummm... that looks yummy. A polyester-short-fiber-wet-contact-lay-up job. Quality... perhaps that is why it fractured like that. Thats exactly why I am out of the buiz... can't compete with that kind of quality.
