Hey guys and gals..

Just wondering.. What do you want to see from your tuning/service shop ?

What do you like or dislike about the places you go to now??
( You need not mention any names preferably dont )

Just looking for some feedback...

Whats important to you?????????

Lets see.
Keep a good parts supply. I hate to wait for parts
I like to see part options. ie If I came in for susp. I would like to see a spring and strut set up and a coil-over set up.
Take the time to explain it...show me out in the bay, as long as insurance problems do not allow.
Offer alternatives. Sometimes we can't spend the big bucks on a full out repair. When a cheaper alternative exists.
Allow customers to supply there own parts.
Be reasonable with labor quotes. Even though the book rate is 5 hours and you know it can be done in 3. quote that.
Thats all I can think about.

I prefer to NOT get the impression that the person helping me out isn't trying to just get me to spend as much money as possible and that they actually know what they're tlaking about.

Yeah have parts in stock or could get them quick and know what you are talking about.

Resonable labor and parts price. It would be nice it they were competitve to other shops in the area or even bette than the competitors.

A viewable mechanic technician area. Its nice to see the progress or what they are doing to your car.

An interactive lobby area for customers. A tuner shop in my area has a very cool lobby where waiting customers can eat, drink, check email, surf the web, play video games and even take a nap if they want to.

snotty techs and service advisors that think they know it all and dont take younger customers seriously. and yea parts in stock for OLDER bmws. Newer BMWs have warranties anyway and they should be the cars they order parts for. If something breaks then they hand out a loaner car. Not us poor E30 people who need our cars to get us around everyday.
