| DTM Racing takes another podium at BMW CCA Summit Point! Just want to say thanks to for coming out and checking out the races for those of you that were out on Sat and/or Sunday... The 1 hr enduro had some calls that were very confusing...I pitted before the yellow and got back out before a incident on T9....I can tell you that some stations were throwing a double and others had a standing or waiving single...it was only apparent that a full course yellow was out after a few laps into it and after the pace car came to pick up the field...and at no point was the pit entrance closed...Very confusing situation...some guys were held in the pits during the restart just after the full course yellow... Scott Montana, H-prepared #107, and I ran tight the entire weekend but especially in Saturday's sprint...he jumped ahead at the start with his choice of 2nd gear instead of 3rd which is what I used and I kept catching him in under braking into T1, T3, T5, and T10 and through the corners...he would pull me on the main straight and short straight between T2 - T3 (what can I say, his car was definately faster, I think the fresh Stickley rebuilt euro motor and the new diff really did well, seriously, Scott's still selling this car if anyone is looking for a racecar, believe me it's a hell of a car! ....heck I had to do a ton of real late and trail braking, left foot braking and work every corner to get a good run in...almost had it at the end ) ....Scott's a good friend and a great driver, overall awesome racing, real fun and VERY close!! In the end of that race I was on his bumper through 10 and there was only half a car length between us at the checker...he got the overall win, I got the fastest lap of the race with a low 1:24.xx and a strong second place finish, rounding out another podium result!...they grouped HP with KP, HS, IS, KS, EM, and some others in that race group...Scott and I went through lapped traffic pretty smoothly/quickly and his strategy of putting KP cars between he and I to build distance didn't work too well...as it turns out the third place car was some 50 sec behind us at the checkered flag. Onto the Enduro, they had everyone in the same race and that was so much fun...I started third row and 5th on the grid, Scott started 6th and to my left on the third row...again he pulled me on the start and this time we both started in 2nd gear, I was flat footing it and he just pulled away ...I got in front of the Lee Roger's 4th place D-modified car into T1 and held my postion through the opening laps, swapping positions with Lee Roger's DM car until I pitted just before the incident with the restart and double yellow. I really wish this whole issue with guys getting stuck in the pits didn't happen because that just sucks...Scott, Lee, and I were having a real good race untill that point...in the unofficial results I finished 4th overall behind Asher Hyman, Jeff Segal (both CM) and Lee Rogers (DM) although only Asher and Jeff passed me after the restart...there were like 40 - 50 or so cars in the field...I know some racers got held up in the pits so I don't know what the final results will look like, but I really hope if they make changes they standardize it so that the guys who didn't get stuck in the pits don't get screwed and it is fair for every racer out there ...Overall, I can tell you that I definatly had fun and felt as though I ran a good race although I was damn near out of fuel when I pitted AND also when the checkered came out....I had to short shift a majority of the second half of the race to conserve fuel for the duration, which sucked...gotta plan better next time!So far, this makes it 4 overall podiums out of 7 races including 1 win and 2 second places, one 3rd overall...6 top 10 finishes out of 7 races...3 first in class and 4 second in class wins It was nice to meet and hang out with the forum guys again including, L8Apx & crew, Damion, Scott M., James, Big Jeddy, John Doby, Bill Schofield, Garrett, Matt, Joel, Marshall, Andrew Abrahams, Jeff Segal, Matt and Jared (glad Pete could help you all and put Papa Sedacca back on the grid on Sunday ) and others...and a big thanks to Pete, Carlos, Josh (crew for the event who really busted hump to put a good car on the grid, minus a few problems we are still working to sort out)...

| The weekend was a lot of fun but started out very shaky but had nothing to do with the race car. On my way to sunir's house in my x-gf's car 4 deer jumped across River RD and i managed to weave by 3 of them. The last fucker wasnt so lucky and i hit his ass dead on with the right side of the car. that was saturday morning...so i limp to sunir's house and load up. then head to the body shop instead of summit point and get there only to find out it was closed. FUCK. so i call Roger and see if he can give me a ride. But his car was broken into and he had to turn around and deal with that. Then i call up marks and turns out he is sick and is sleeping. Fuckiney. i end up taking the xterra up to summit and from then on it was great. Sunir's car is doing great except for some steering issues and power steering leak. All that will be assorted and dealt with at Pete's in Ohio. Sunir drove like a champ and had a huge battle with Lee Roger's DM e30 318is with an S14 swap. The car hauled ass and kept sunir at bay...only until Sunir got fed up and put on a pass after around 10 laps of battling it out. Our pit strategy seemed to work in our favor as we decided to pit early..around the 22nd minute of the enduro. The pit stop went by flawlessly and the car was doing great. Brakes steaming hott...sunir sweating his balls out....fueling...keeping track of time...everything is just a rush of adrenaline and precision. All the hardwork in the end paysoff....it always does sooner or later. carlos |

| Great pictures! I was there for the DE as well at Jefferson Circuit. Was able to catch some of the club racing as well, I think I got a couple pictures of Sunir but they didn't turn out as well as l8apx's. It was my first DE, had a good time - will definitely try to get back out there for the DE in Oct. Really got to test the limits of the car and keep pushing past them. Anyway, just a cool picture from Saturday: ![]() -dave
