| Seeking some input I've been driving my 2001 325i for about 2 weeks now and have decided pretty much everything i wanna do to it. Here's a list of what I'm planning so if anyone has any advice on something such as tips or where to get it for a decent price then please help me out. Thanks! 1. Clear lights (front corners, side signal lights, and tail lights) 2. Factory BMW deck-lid spoiler (sedan) 3. Wheels (Preferably the SSR GT3s or something similar) 4. Performance Exhaust 5. Intake 6. Chip 7. Aluminum Pedals/Footrest (for 5-Speed manual) Thanks for any input you may have |

| dont wasit ur money on an intake, they just suck in more crap. But everything else sounds good. Personally I dont like spoilers on BMWs but the factory stuff usually looks good. Instead get an M3 lip spoiler. Those look a lot better. Dont expect much power from an exhaust either. The chip is probly the best thing you can buy. Instead take your money and sign up for a driving school or join the SCCA and head out to your local autox for some real fun. Put a different suspension on and you will have a lot of fun. I have heard a lot of good things about the Bilstein PSS9 system but they dont make them for E30s ![]() |

| i know what you mean about the intake. thats one of the things ive been contemplating off and on about. i dont really think its necessary. and i know the exhaust wont get much more power out but i want the chrome tips without being cheap by just getting the tips and also to give it a little more of an aggressive sound. the lip spoilers are pretty nice but after some consideration i decided that i like the other spoiler better. Thanks for your advice by the way. i definately wanna do a racing school sometime. |

| yea, SCCA membership is only $52 a year and you get a magazine every 2 weeks, they also take a discount off at the autox. Autox is cheap safe fun you can ahve in your car. The only thing you can worry about hitting are some cones. Also check out a high performance driving schoool. I might be attending one at Watkins Glen, NY this September. But this if for the BMW CCA. |

1. Your best bet for clears is to go with ones from the factory (OEM). Pacific(california) or circle bmw are both good dealers that sell clears for near wholesale pricing. the reason why I recommend the factory ones is because you will find that sets that you can buy off of ebay don't fit exactly right, so you will run into slight complications. 2. Can you specify which spoiler you are looking for? If you are looking for the small lip that comes on the M3s, you might want to look at the lip spoiler from the m5, which fits better on the sedan hoods... 3. For wheels, it depends whether you are looking at 18s or 19s... include some details and I can help more. 4. For exhausts, there are many choices, but one that I strongly recommend is the Rogue DMS from Rogue Engineering. Contact Ben or Mark at 201 444-8150 and tell them that Eddie from DTM Power sent you per a thread on dtm about the exhaust. These guys won't try to make a sale off of you, but talk to you and get to know what your modding objectives are and help. 5. For the money, ECIS is still the most efficient intake out there. If you want to go with something a little more flashy under the hood, look at Gruppe M, although it is more than twice as expensive as the ECIS (ecis=200 or so, not to sure). 6. Software is not that beneficial but will take off the top speed limiter and raise your RPM limit slightly. 7. For pedals, all the major tuners have pedal kits, I don't really know much here. I purchased ACS pedals about three years ago and they still are in great shape... Hope this gets you started on the right path, and don't hesitate to ask more detailed questions.. |

| This is my first day on the DTM power site, but CDOC has been involved for some time. I'd love to help with any questions on parts we have for your car. Outside my office window right now in the warehouse we have the K&N (drop-in) filter, a B&M short-throw shifter, Powerslot rotors, Hawk pads, OMP pedals (with the tall gas) and foot rest. The B&B exhaust and the Bilsein PSS9 kit is also available from me. As for the wheels, if you want looks, go big. If you want good performance, then stay as small as your brakes will allow. The SSR GT3's would look great.

Not sure why that guy was against the intake, he seems alittle too conservative. Not only will you notice a performance gain, your car will sound 100 X better. These are definetly the best first mods to aquire. Get OEM clear corners, they cost alittle more, but worth the fit and seal. |

http://rds.yahoo.com/S=96062883/K=e4...0513%20BMW.jpg In regards to wheels... im looking for probably 18s. I want a slightly more low-profile wheel that will help with the handling a bit more. Don't really want 19s because those are a lil more for show. I want my car to look good but performance matters more to me. the chip: i know thats all it does and thats exactly what i want it to do. im used to shifting at slightly higher RPMs under heavy acceleration so i occasionally bounce it off the rev limiter. just an extra 200 RPMs is all i need. Again, thanks a lot man! ![]() Last edited by LewDog : 07-26-2004 at 06:11 PM. |
