The Mile per Gallon Guage looks a little low for 5200 RPM - But I have never paid that much attention to it either?

If it was a euro M3 the redline wouldn't be 6.5k and the speedo would be in km/hour as well as some other differences. This wouldn't be too hard to do at all, as people mentioned a new diff alone would solve that (for a couple hundred.) People usually go the other way and use higher diff ratios for better accel. (it would suck in a non 6 speed on the highway though.)
That's a pretty damn expensive steering wheel, not to mention the ~$600 V1 setup, I'd say that car is probably MORE than modded enough to achieve speeds like that (shit I've gone 140 in my M3 when it was stock.)

I've seen a few US E36 M3 owner who have done a euro motor/6 speed transplant. It might just be one of them.

Why does everyone think it's some radical swap or highly modded car just because it's going 145mph? A stock M3 with $300 diff will do the same thing.

Its not an euro. Euro dash has an oil temperature gauge instead of the mpg gauge. (Euros came with miles and km/h)

V1 are used around the world becuase radars are used around the world . I have 2 and none of them are in the US.

That wasn't the question. The question was how he was going that speed at that particular RPM. Usually, in order to reach those speeds you need to be in 5th and almost maxing out the RPM or close to it. 5200 isn't anywhere near maxing out.
