Throw some LubriMatic (Grease lubricant can be purchased at a local pep boys or auto advantage) on your hinges and a bit of wd 40 on your two bolts that hold the door in place. Thats what i did and it stopped the squeaking.

the noise that you had, was it from the hinge itself? I don't know if mine is from the hinge. It makes the noise when the door shuts, not while its closing( on the way to being shut) It sounds like its coming from the body????

Wait so if your door is shut, and if you shake your car then you hear a squeaking? hmm to be honest i wouldnt be able to tell unless i heard the vehicle itself. Is the squeak coming from teh door area?

nah, I think the noise comes from the vibration of the door shutting, thats when I hear the noise. I really can't tell where its coming from, the noise is more like a crikett chirp than a sqeeky door. could it be my sway bar? like the bushings or mounting area? occasionally I will hear it when I pass a bump in the road. I think the noise comes ffrom vibration. sorry for being so vauge earlier.

It could be your weatherstripping/door seal. Try spraying some liquid silicone (NOT sealant/RTV... silicone lubricant, available at any parts store) on the rubber seals between the door and the body, then gently wiping off any excess with a rag. If that doesn't work, it might be your interior door panel or a piece of it that might be loose. Try having a friend open and close the door while you listen very closely around the car for the squeak to track down exactly where it's coming from. Sit inside, bend down and stick your head under the car, etc. Spray the hinges and door latch with grease as well, like the other people said. Even if it doesn't get rid of the squeak, it's just good maintenance. Good luck.

| Yeah, my car used to do that. It was a slight two-stage squeak. The first part was shutting the door, the second squeak came when the automatic window moved up to seal the door.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys but I knew as Merkerman said, I had to find the noise and eliminate it. I started by shutting my door, *noise*. sounded like it was from the front wheel area, then I shut the door again, and thought it was the front bumper, next time, sounded like the hood, popped the hood and found the trouble after a few more tries. right behind the passenger side headlight, down alittle, there is something silver( Im not a mechanic) and looks like it attaches to the raditator. has a screw on one side holding it and a clip on the other. The screw was look causeing the clamp to make the chirping sqeek. Felt like mutha fuckin Columbo, I found it and no more noise. Thanks for the help DTM
