New to the Forums

Hey, my name's Mike. I found this site through the Gumball 3000 videos, which were awesome. I do have a few questions about the message boards:

Is this a local thing? Judging by simply skimming over a few topics around here, I think it's some kind of local forum, but I could be wrong.

90% of the cars I've seen on these forums are BMW's. I wasn't sure if it was a BMW specific forum, but I doubt that. I, myself, own a Chevy Camaro, so I wasn't sure if that would fit in here... but these seem like pretty nice people here, so I think I'm in good hands.

I'll post more about my car in the other board... but just curious about these boards. I'm not too big on car forums, but the people here seem nice. I'll give it a shot.

Welcome to DTMPower!

The main focus of the site is BMW. However, we welcome discussion on any car make and do not discriminate against non-BMW owners (heck, I'm an Admin and I don't even have a BMW anymore).

DTMPower is by no means a local site. It's headquartered in the MD/DC/NoVA area, however, we have large concentrations of members in the NYC area, New England, California, Washington, as well as internationally with the largest being in Australia. It's a bit unfortunate your first visit is during a MAJOR upgrade of the software when everything is pretty much in a state of flux. However, we hope you enjoy what you see and make this a regular stop.
