CMT - I believe you just don't know why you would get walked??? Esp. with the 3.46. (I am running a 3.38) Don't know what your dyno graph looks like but maybe stickly isn't all he is cracked up to be... JK!!!
Now I don't know how it would be with a 3.0 as I have the extra tq of the 3.2 but you will LOVE the kit IMO. I wanted to stay NA and IMO this is the way to go. You won't smoke e46 m3's as you would need 350+ hp to do that which only comes from FI. (for a street driven car) |
The E46 I raced put down 290 whp to the E36's 257 whp. Not only did the car lose, but it just didn't stand a chance, blasting by me by the end of whatever gear we would start in. It was on the street, and of course anything can happen, and there is also the factor that 1. I can't drive worth a damn (which in this case meant slamming the accelerator down as we went from a roll) or 2. I was up against a very agressive driver in the E46 (which was extremely true) or 3. Maybe Stickley isn't all he is cracked up to be, but the dyno would have shown that, no? 257 whp is nothing to sneeze at on an E36, and that night it wasn't even close to being powerful enough to match the current M3.
I also will not discount that something was wrong with the car the night we got it on. It still blows me away that the E36 was dispatched that easily - it really wasn't a contest, a result that was completely outside of my expectations.
