| Need Help Alright I go to college, and right now I'm home for the weekend and I have a 3-4 hour drive (depending on how lucky i feel) ahead of me tomorrow night, but I have a problem...my radio is broken. I have an Alpine head and Amp with Alpine Components...my problem is that about 3 months ago my radio randomly died...didn't know why...finally figured out it blew a fuse...so i replaced it and it was fine...then about a month ago it blew another fuse....then a week ago...then two days ago...and this morning it blew again...so I replaced the fuse but as soon as I cranked the car again it turned on for a second and then the fuse blew (at this point I had 3 more fuses left in the pack that I originally bought) so I replaced it...and it blew when I cranked the car...radio didn't even turn on...and that happened for the rest of the fuses I had left....I thought it might have been the fuses so for the last fuse I pulled one of the other BMW fuses and put that in the radio slot and put the last one that I bought in the spot where the stock one was...so I've ruled that out....the radio has worked fine for 2 years...no problems until the first fuse blow. I had originally thought it might be my Power Pulleys, but the only pulleys are on the power steering and water pump...not the alternator...but that would UNDER power the car electrically and not cause it to blow fuses, plus I had the pulleys on for a year with no problems. I had my exhaust put on a month before the first fuse blow but I can't see how an exhaust would effect the electrical system...My only possible explanation is that I've been having a recurring problem with my airbag light...(could/should have lemoned the car but I didn't know about the Lemon law here in FL ) anyway of the most recent stint of problems with the airbag light the dealer worked on the car around the time of the first fuse blow (i can't remember whether it was before or after) long story short they fixed the light and it went back on the next weekend so I got pissed and told them they fix it for good or I call BMWNA...they replaced the whole airbag controller this past time...my thought is that they messed up the electrical system while fixing the airbag light...or messed it up while trying to MAKE the light stay off... I really will go crazy if I have to drive home without a radio...any ideas? All of my mods are listed in my sig along with the exact stereo equipment. Oh yeah I doubt it's the battery that was replaced under a year ago.TIA
