| Best Sports Sedan there is Hey people, Im looking for the best sports sedan there is for under $60,000. The car needs to be small but able to seat 4 (for the back they have to be somewhat comfortable). Im not looking for an all out race car, nor a pure luxury car. I have narrowed it down to these 4 cars, but im very open to any suggestions for different cars (thats why im posting). Oh, and German cars only/high performance (no Rice/American cars) 2004 Mercedes C32 AMG ![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2004 BMW M3 Coupe ![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2001 BMW M5 Sedan ![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2004 Audi S4 ![]() ***You need to see the standard recaro seats on this***

| I'd pick the M3, but it matters how the car will be used like whether or not its a family car or only for you. Either way I'd pick the M3 I've been in love with them for longer then I can remember. My order of which I would want would be M3, M5, S4, then CLK500 |

Im thinking the Mercedes is too "Potomac/Bethesdaish" (if you MD/Va you understand this I hope) Although I have looked into the RS6, and with the 450hp biturbo I would take it over any of these cars, its at the unfortunate price of $70 large, and im topping off at $50 (give or take a few grand).

| something to clarify is this is a somewhat family car (mostly for 1 or two people) but I need ability for more on certain occasions. Its for a Jewlery store owner, so i cant have some tricked out 95 m3, it needs to look professional. Hence the C32 AMG and M5

| Either an M5 or... CTS-V. But really, the CTS-V is a hell of a car. And no C32 or S4. The former comes exclusively with a slushbox, and the latter, according to my friend who has driven A LOT of cars and has 11 in his garage (one being an '03 M3), does not justify its price compared to a standard A4. | Some E39 M5's are dropping into the $40K's, there was an M5 on eBay with some Dinan mods (CAI, chip, differential), tubi exhaust, nav & 25K miles (clean title) that sold for $45K Vote is definitly for the M5 in this price range, and as has already been stated, it is a true sports sedan. The only potential sticking point as far as I can see is the transmission, I assume the potential owner can drive a manual? This issue aside if you test drive these different cars you will be pleasantly suprised with the E39 M5, I had a guy at my job with a $40K Lexus on order, I pursuaded him to test drive an E39 M5 a few weeks before he was to take delivery & guess what is in the parking lot today?
