| "manufacture" is right! To either forge or cast a wheel takes an incredible amount of resources I can't help because I've never heard of it being attempted outside of the major manufacturers but if you can pull it off someday I wanna be the first to hear about it! Edit: I wish you were local! The detail work on the cars in your album is incredible! Last edited by Dan-needabimma : 04-09-2004 at 01:23 AM. |

| You buy a billet blank. Throw it into your CNC mill and cut it. it's that easy. Alot of high end motor cycle guys and hot rod guys make their own wheels out of billet aluminum blanks.. A blank is basically the general shape of the wheel. Like a 18" round object that's 8" wide kinda thing... You remove the rest...

| I've seen a documentary on how BBS rims are made and by the looks of it, there's no way you would be able to make your own rims unless you invest in millions to aquire the machinery needed to produce rims. |

| Some companies will manufacture the wheels if you give them your design and money. I think that they would want to see a production run, not just one set. Come to think of it, one of the guys from www.acura-cl.com is doing it right now. beginning http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...ghlight=wheels test-fit http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...ghlight=wheels beginning of production http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...hreadid=136744 Hope this helps somewhat.

| Hey, Thanks guys. I appreciate all of the help. I called the guy at the links above, and he gave me a lot of great advice and information about how to go about this. Hopefully someday I can put them on my new 645. :P
