Question for people with HIDs

I wish I had shelled out extra for brand new HID kits.

I currently have a set of Supervision 6000k HIDs on my daily driver. I had to buy them because I got an excellent deal on them.

The problem is, the passenger side bulb seems purplish compare to the driver side, which looks whiter.

I tried to take pictures of the difference in lighting with my Canon digi cam but the pictures don't really reflect the color difference.

I know I am not color blind. The Philips 6000K HIDs I bought for my BMW do not look this way.

If it helps, the Supervision kit looks like 6000k on the one side (more purplish), and more like 4300k on the driver side.

It's not the light housing problem. I tried taking both bulbs out and they still looked the same way.

Does anyone have any clue as to why this happened?
