ferrari head gasket

does any one know where to get a head gasket for a 87 ferrari testarosa?? my buddy says he needs a new one, but the $tealer is asking way way way to much. is there an after market for this or what. i know this is a bmw forum but i thought i would check with you guys to see if you know anything. thanks much!

Woah...your friend has a Testarosa??? DAMN....

But anyways...i'm not sure about aftermarket on that car...but the best would be may be to contact ferrari in italy...some stuff is cheaper directly from the factory...cuz the stealers are bastards...

Your friend might want to go to an import mechanic in the area and talk to them. My dad has a 1980 Ferrari 400i, it wasnt a model that was imported to the US and it sat for a long time in our garage and he needed a few parts to get it running again and found that many parts are interchangable. Found out that Volvo breakpad work perfectly, next to the stealership charging him something like 75 to 100 bucks a pad.

Stealership is right....I just now paid $15 for 5 little liftgate clips that would have cost $.30 at a tool store but they were out So they were $2.95 each at the stealership....

I don't have a # with me, but I get some parts for a friend's Dino in the US. Do a search on the net since Ferrari Italy will not sell you anything unless you are a dealer or authorized.
